What Foyer is
Foyer is software that a real-estate brokerage connects to its own Facebook Page and Instagram account. It replies to public comments on the brokerage's posts, answers direct messages on the brokerage's behalf, books showings on the brokerage's calendar, and publishes listing videos the brokerage approves.
Foyer is operated by the brokerage that connected it. When you message a Page that uses Foyer, the brokerage is the business you are talking to; Foyer is the tool it uses to answer.
What we collect from people who message a Page
The text of the messages and comments you send to the Page, your Page-scoped user id assigned by Meta, the time you sent them, and any details you choose to share in conversation such as your name, email address, phone number, budget, or preferred neighbourhoods.
We do not access your Facebook profile, friends, photos, or anything outside the conversation you start with the Page.
How that information is used
To generate a reply in the conversation you started, to remember earlier parts of the same conversation, to book a showing you asked for, and to let the brokerage's staff pick up the conversation where the assistant left off.
Message text is sent to an AI model provider (Anthropic) to produce replies. It is not used to train models. Listing videos are generated with Google's Veo model from photos the brokerage supplies, never from your messages.
Automated assistant disclosure
The first reply in every conversation states that you are talking to an AI assistant. You can ask for a person at any time and the assistant will stop replying until a member of the brokerage takes over. Sending the word STOP ends automated messages.
What we collect from brokerages
When a brokerage connects its Page, Meta issues an access token that lets Foyer read comments, send messages and publish videos on that Page. We store that token encrypted (AES-256-GCM) and use it only for those actions. The brokerage can disconnect at any time from Facebook's Business Integrations settings, which invalidates the token immediately.
If the brokerage connects Google Calendar, we request only the permission to check free/busy times and to create or delete events that Foyer itself created.
Retention and deletion
Conversations and leads are retained while the brokerage's account is active so staff can follow up. A brokerage can delete a conversation, a lead, or its whole account at any time; deletion removes the data from our database within 30 days including backups.
To request deletion of your own messages, contact the brokerage you messaged, or use the contact form on this site and name the Page you messaged.
Who we share data with
Meta Platforms (to receive and send messages through the Messenger and Instagram APIs), Anthropic (to generate replies), Google (calendar and video generation, only for the features the brokerage enabled), and our hosting and database providers. We do not sell personal data and we do not use it for advertising.
